Due to the epidemic coronavirus infection situation in the country, the regular annual book fair of Bangla Academy is going to start this month and a half later. The fair is starting next Thursday (March 18). However, if the corona infection continues to rise, the fair may be postponed halfway depending on the situation.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the book fair like other times. However, he will inaugurate the fair not physically, but in a virtual way. And on the first day of the fair, the English version of the book 'Amar Dekha Naya China' written by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be unveiled.
State Minister for Culture KM Khalid said this at a press conference held at Bangla Academy on Tuesday (March 16).
Meanwhile, the state minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the book fair on Thursday. On the first day, the cover of the book 'Amar Dekha Naya China' written by Bangabandhu will be unveiled. However, if the corona infection increases, the situation will be reviewed and the fair may be postponed.
