Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on March 26-27 at the invitation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He is on a state visit to mark the Mujib Year, the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the joint celebration of Bangladesh-India friendly relations.

"Apart from the Indian foreign minister, we have learned that high-ranking officials from various departments will be accompanying him," he said.
Dr. AK Abdul Momen further said that in addition to a private meeting between the two Prime Ministers on the afternoon of March 26, a bilateral meeting will be held at the representative level. We hope that various issues of mutual interest will be discussed at the meeting. At the end of the meeting, in the presence of the two Prime Ministers, some MoUs are likely to be signed and some projects are likely to be inaugurated.
