Tamarind seeds are being imported from India for the first time through the Hili land port in Dinajpur as the demand for tamarind seeds has suddenly increased in the country's market. On Saturday afternoon, three trucks carrying 90 tonnes of tamarind from India entered the Hili land port in one shipment. A few days ago, two more consignments of tamarind seeds have entered the country.
These beeches of the third consignment were imported by Ujjwal Shah, an importer from Chittagong. A C&F agent named Jamuna Trading Corporation of Healy Land Port is engaged on behalf of the importer to complete its unloading activities from Hili Land Port.
