Three individuals and organizations received Bangabandhu Award for Wildlife
Two individuals and one organization have been shortlisted for the “Bangabandhu Award for Wildlife Conservation” in three categories to encourage nature and wildlife conservation organizations and individuals nationally.
On Sunday (February 28), the Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change The decision to award the medal was taken at a meeting of Wildlife Adviser Baird held in the conference room of the ministry under the chairmanship of Md. Shahab Uddin.
Ahmed is a retired country representative of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), a retired chief forest conservator in the category of Forest and Wildlife Conservation Officer, eminent researcher, scientist, wildlife conservationist and media worker / personality. Also in the category of wildlife education and research at the University of Dhaka, Professor of Zoology. Mohammad Firoz Zaman and Ashurhat Bird Conservation Society of Nityanandapur Union No.12 of Shailkupa Upazila of Jhenaidah District have been nominated for the award in the category of organization dedicated to wildlife conservation.
