The High Court has issued a rule asking why the money should not be returned from various Bangladeshi individuals and organizations, including Swiss banks. Concerned parties have been asked to respond to this rule.

Today, Sunday (February 28), the High Court heard the writ petition to return the money. A virtual bench comprising Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Mohiuddin Shamim passed the order.

Advocate Abdul Qayyum Khan and Subir Nandi Das appeared for the writ petition in the court today. Deputy Attorney General AKM Aminuddin Manik, Assistant Attorney General Mahjabin Rabbani Deepa and Anna Khanam Kali represented the state. In addition, the lawyer was in favor of the ACC. Khurshid Alam Khan.

At that time, lawyer Subir Nandi Das said that the issue of punishment of Bangladeshis was added to the writ petition as their names appeared in various papers including Panama Papers. The court has also issued a rule on that. The ruling also asked why the Panama Papers and Paradise Papers would not be investigated.
