Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said that 5-G network service will be launched in Bangladesh in 2021 this year. He made the remarks while attending a seminar at the Council Hall of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) Shaheed Engineer Bhaban in Ramna on Saturday (February 26).
The seminar titled 'Fourth Industrial Revolution: Bangladesh Context' was organized by IEB.
At the time, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications said, our Digital Bangladesh program is not limited to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the midst of the Digital Bangladesh program lies the transformation that needs to take place to build the golden Bengal of dreams.
Mustafa Jabbar said that as a result of the success of Digital Bangladesh in Kovidkal, 70 percent people in the country have taken telemedicine treatment at home. The first class child of the village has also continued his educational activities through internet. Work is underway to transform every post office in the country into a digital post office by 2022.
