Pabna (Nagarbari) Kazirhat-Aricha ferry service was re-launched. State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury inaugurated the ferry service at noon on Saturday (February 27). The ferry service was stopped a decade ago in Erut on the pretext of floods and ferry shortages.

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury was the chief guest at the function organized on the occasion of launch of Kazirhat-Aricha ferry service. The ceremony was presided over by Commodore Golam Sadiq, Chairman, Inland Water Transport Authority.

Special guests were Shamsul Haque Tuku MP, Golam Farooq Prince MP, Ahmed Firoz Kabir MP, Naimur Rahman Durjoy MP, Additional Secretary and Chairman BIWTC Syed Tajul Islam, District Council Chairman Rezaul Rahim Lal, Pabna Deputy Commissioner Kabir Mahmud, Pabna Police Superintendent Mahibul.
