BSEC appointed auditor at Delta Life
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has appointed a special auditor to review the company’s financial statements in the capital market-listed Delta Life Insurance. Mabs & J Partners, one of the country’s leading chartered accountants, was recently tasked with auditing the company’s financial statements.
BSEC chairman Prof Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam made the remarks at a press conference after the road show in Dubai at the BSEC conference room on Monday (February 22nd).
“The IDRA chairman and insurance company authorities have contacted us about the ongoing problems at Delta Life,” he said. All in all, the two sides seemed to have two different statements.
Now our responsibility is to bring out the right thing. For this I have appointed a special inspector.
