central banks five member committee to investigate bribery scandal

The central bank has formed a five-members high-level committee to probe the bribery scandal.
A reliable source in the central bank confirmed the matter on Wednesday (February 17).
According to sources, the committee has been headed by Deputy Governor-3 AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan.
In this regard, the spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank Sirajul Islam said, the committee has been formed under the leadership of a deputy governor to further investigate various allegations. The committee will investigate and report on the overall issue.
He also said that action would be taken in accordance with the Staff Act if there was any evidence of involvement in the crime against any officer through this investigation.
