Ashiq is not appointing managing director of DSE

The BSEC has decided not to appoint Citibank NA Chief Country Compliance Officer (CCCO) and Chief Anti Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO) M Ashiq Rahman as the managing director of the country’s main stock exchange Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) today.

A senior BSEC official, who did not want to be named, confirmed the matter to Sunbd.
