For the first time since Joe Biden took office as president, the US administration has issued a travel warning. The instructions were updated on the website of the US Embassy in Dhaka on Monday.
The latest directive calls for a review of US citizens' travel in the wake of the coronavirus, terrorism and kidnapping situation in Bangladesh. It is also mentioned that there is no other threat.
According to the US Embassy's website, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a third-degree health warning for corona travel to Bangladesh.
"Bangladesh has withdrawn the 'stay at home' directive and the transport system and business activities have been resumed," the statement said. However, due to crime, terrorism and kidnapping, warnings have been raised for US citizens traveling to Bangladesh.
