Musa described the two companions killed by the tiger
Mizanur Rahman and Ratan were killed in a tiger attack in the Sundarbans on Wednesday (January 20th) in Shyamnagar, Satkhira district. However, Abu Musa survived the tiger attack. What actually happened in the forest that day? Luckily, Abu Musa, who survived, narrated the tragic incident.
Abu Musa, 41, son of Abdus Sattar of West Kaikhali village in Kaikhali union of Satkhira’s Shyamnagar upazila, said, “I am Ratan, 42, son of Kafiluddin of the same area.” And my brother-in-law Mizanur Rahman (40), the son of a psychiatrist from the same village, went to bring cows to India through the deep forest in the temptation of a large sum of money. It was night when we were going through the forest on the river. At this time we spend the night in a boat called Satjheel Khal next to the forest. In the morning a tiger jumped on the boat. Among the three, the tiger targeted Mizan. At that time Ratan attacked the tiger to save Mizan. The tiger then dropped Mizan and attacked Ratan and killed Ratan. Then the tiger went into the forest with Mizan.
“When the tiger attacked, I jumped into the river and stuck my nose out next to the boat and survived,” he said. Then I untied the boat from the bottom of the boat and went away. Once again I was out of the boat upstream. Thus I lost direction and path. At that time, when a mobile phone on the boat suddenly rang, I informed the house from that mobile phone, ”said Abu Musa. He also said that since then he could not talk as there was no mobile network.
Abu Musa said he was rescued by fishermen on the Indian border and she took refuge in a house in the country. Then with their help he returned to the country through a place called Bakchar on the border.
Mushar’s family members rescued him from there on Sunday (January 24) morning. After returning home, Abu Musa continued to behave somewhat abnormally. With local treatment he gradually became normal and reported the incident.
