Outgoing US President Donald Trump has left the White House. He left the White House on Wednesday morning with First Lady Melania Trump.
A Marine One helicopter landed at the White House on Wednesday morning to pick up Trump and Melania. Trump and Melania landed in the helicopter at Joint Base Andrew, a U.S. air base in Maryland. There has been a farewell ceremony to mark Trump's last day as president.
Earlier in the week, Trump was not seen leaving the White House. A week later, he left the White House for the last time. Trump is scheduled to make a brief statement at Joint Base Andrew. From there he would go to Palm Beach, Florida.
As a result, Trump will be far away from the White House when Joe Biden is sworn in as the next president of the United States and Kamala Harris as vice president. As a result, he is not the first president in a century and a half to be sworn in as his successor.
