Margin loan interest will be maximum 12%

The regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) gave another piece of good news for capital market investors. The good news is that the maximum interest rate on margin loans will be 12 percent. The decision was taken at the 757th meeting of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). This information has been known from BSEC sources.

According to BSEC sources, stock brokers and merchant banks will be able to recover an additional maximum of 3 per cent spread from the customer along with the cost of funds as opposed to the margin loan provided. But in no case will the margin interest rate be more than 12 percent.
