Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sham Rezaul Karim MP said, “Apart from government management, the private sector should also be taken forward in the development of the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, has given the opportunity to set up many industries in public-private partnership. Incentives have been given to other industries, including the garment industry, during the Kovid. We have taken various steps, including providing incentives and cash assistance to grassroots farmers in the fisheries and livestock sector so that they do not fall into danger.
The minister was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a high-tech dairy farm and Bakara pasteurized milk and dairy products at Badarganj in Rangpur on Saturday (January 9th) at the initiative of private agro-based company Ion Group.
Momin Ud Daula, Chairman and CEO of Ion Group, presided over the function while Raunak Mahmood, Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and Dr. Abdul Jabbar Sikder, Director General, Department of Livestock were present as special guests.
