Central bank bought 4.2 billion dollars in four months

The central bank is active in maintaining the value of money during the coronation period. The company is regularly buying dollars from the market for this. In the last four months, 4.2 billion has been bought.

This information has been known from Bangladesh Bank sources.

According to the source, last week’s last working day on Thursday also 20 million dollars were bought. With this, the central bank has bought  4.2 billion (4.30 billion) dollars in four and a half months of the current fiscal year 2020-21, till November 19. Bought  5.10 billion in the first eight and a half months of this year.

Bank officials say Bangladesh Bank has never bought so many dollars in such a short time.
