Bangladesh wants self-sufficient in onion production

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi Requesting India and said that at least one month’s notice should be given before stopping onion exports. The minister said Bangladesh also wants to become self-sufficient in onion production within three years by reducing its dependence on India.

He told reporters after an exchange of views with Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Vikram Kumar Doraiswamy at the Commerce Ministry on Thursday (October 22nd).
