ICMAB delegation calls on BSEC chairman

The delegation discussed various topics with the stock market regulator’s chairman, including implementing cost audit in all limited companies.

A delegation of The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of (Bangladesh) ICMAB, led by its president Md Jasim Uddin Akond, on Monday met Prof Shibly Rubayat Ul Islam, chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) at his office.

The delegation discussed various topics with the stock market regulator’s chairman, including implementing cost audit in all limited companies, said a press release.

Prof Shibly ensured ICMAB delegation that he will take necessary steps to implement this as it seems to play a vital role for the economic development of the country.

Among others, Vice Presidents Abu Bakar Siddique and Md Mamunur Rashid, Secretary Md Munirul Islam, Past President and Present Council Member Abdul Aziz and Executive Director of the Institute Md Mahbub Ul Alam, were present in the meeting.

The delegation also met BSEC Commissioners Khondoker Kamaluzzaman, Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, Prof Md Mizanur Rahman and Md Abdul Halim at their offices separately.
