IIA Bangladesh Delegates meets BSEC Chairman

A delegation team from IIA Bangladesh met Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Prof. Dr. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam at BSEC Commission Bhaban, Agargaon on 14 July 2020.

The delegation was led by Mr. Mohammed Iqbal Hossain,Mr. M Nurul Alam, Secretary General of IIA Bangladesh, Mr. Amitava Saha, Treasurer of IIA Bangladesh and Mr. Md. Zaker Rahmatullah, Deputy Secretary of IIA Bangladesh.

The IIAB Delegates attended this call on meeting and discussed how Internal Audit Professionals extend support to strengthen compliance of Corporate Governance Code issued by BSEC and Code of Conduct by the listed companies and brokerage houses.

The delegates emphasis on the awareness on the Corporate Governance Code, Independence of the Auditors, development of the skills of Internal Auditors, recognition of the Auditors by the Board of the companies, monitoring mandatory compliance of the Corporate Governance Code and the Code of Ethics. The Chairman of BSEC appreciated and expressed the importance of the issues especially the Code of Ethics.
