Dangerous coronavirus spreads all over the country.Due to this reson The government has asked the Muslims to say Eid-ul-Azha prayers inside nearby mosques instead of eidgah or other open places.

The government also asked them to avoid hugging each other and doing handshake after prayers.

The decision was taken at a virtual inter-ministerial meeting arranged by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday.

The ministry’s public relations officer Mohammad Anwar Hossain confirmed this.

He said, “It has been decided that devotees will carry ‘jaynamaz’ with them to perform Eid prayers at mosque and will not hug each other and do handshake.”

The other directions given during Eid-ul-Fitr will remain effective in this Eid, too, Anwar added.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in Bangladesh on July 31 subject to appearance of Moon in the sky.

Some 183,795 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Bangladesh and 2,352 died from the disease as of Sunday since the country confirmed its first cases on March 8.Report:jagonews
