5,000 medical technologists to be recruited soon: Health minister

Two thousand physicians and 5,000 nurses have already been recruited within only 10 days, said the minister adding that the recruitment of the technologists is under process

Health and Family Welfare Ministers Zahid Maleque said 5,000 medical technologists will be appointed soon to empower the health sector furthermore in a bid to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Two thousand physicians and 5,000 nurses have already been recruited within only 10 days, said the minister adding that the recruitment of the technologists is under process.

Zahid Maleque made the announcement today during the inauguration programme of the 2000-bed temporary hospital in the capital’s Bashundhara International Convention Center to combat the viral outbreak.
