Employees of the local conglomerate contributed to the fund
Max Group on Sunday donated Tk3 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to combat the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Employees of the local conglomerate contributed to the fund, said a press release.
Engr Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, chairman of Max Group, along with its director Kaniz Fatema, handed over the cheque at the Prime Minister's Office in the capital, the release added.
Engr Alomgir said currently the country was going through a tough battle against Covid-19 and they were always ready to stand beside Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to fight this battle.
"From our company, we are continuously supporting the helpless segment of society. Besides, we are also working relentlessly to ensure the wellbeing of our employees including the foreign workers," he added.
