Notification extending holiday till may 16 issued

The government-announced general holiday has been extended till May 16 to tackle the situation caused by COVID-19 outbreak in the country, the Ministry of Public Administration told this by issuing a notification on Monday.

Earlier, the government first announced a holiday from March 26 to April 4, however, extended by four more phases till May 5 due to coronavirus.

The notification stated that the general holiday has been declared from May 7 to May 14 – the Buddha Purnima holiday on May 6 and weekly holiday on May 15 and 16 will be added with this.
