4 more die, 503 new infected

Four more people have died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 131 in the country. Besides, 503 others were infected by the lethal virus in the country during the time. With this, the total number of positive cases climbed to 4,689.

DGHS Additional Director General (administration) Prof Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure joining the daily health bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through online on Friday.

A total of 503 fresh cases were detected after testing 3,686 samples across the country over the last 24 hours, she said, adding that as many as 39,892 samples have so far tested.

Meanwhile, four new people have recovered from the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 112, the health official said.
