Two banks declare dividends for shareholders
Earnings per share of both companies declined
Two commercial banks – Mercantile Bank Limited and Bank Asia Limited – have declared dividends for their shareholders for the financial year ended on December 31, 2019.
Earnings per share of both companies declined during this time.
Mercantile Bank Limited has declared 10 per cent cash and five per cent bonus dividend for its shareholders.
Including the earnings from its sister concerns, earnings per share of the company were Tk3.01, a 16.15 per cent fall from the same time in the previous fiscal year.
Its net asset value per share was Tk22.96 which was Tk22.91 in the previous year.
Bank Asia Limited has declared a 10 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders. During the time, the earnings per share of the company was Tk1.68, a 16.42 per cent fall from the previous year.
Net asset value per share of the company was Tk22.94 which was Tk20.88 in the previous year.
