Biman cancels all flights to Malaysia

Due to coronavirus Biman Bangladesh Airlines has cancelled all of its flights to Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur till further notice as the government of the country imposed a ban on all foreign tourists and visitors.

Biman Managing Director Mokabbir Hossain confirmed the matter today.

Besides, the flight scheduled on 7:15pm today will be leaving early at 4:15pm. Passengers have been requested to reach the counter three hours prior the time of the flight.

Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced on Monday night measures to restrict movement nationwide, starting from March 18 until 31, in a bid to stem the rising number of coronavirus cases.

Malaysian government also banned mass gatherings, including religious, sports, social and cultural events.

All houses of worship and businesses are to close, except supermarkets, markets, mini markets and convenience stores, with Friday prayers suspended for Muslims, in line with a decree by the Malaysia King earlier on Monday
