Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech to continue inspiring deprived people
Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md. Akhtaruzaman today said the historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman would continue to inspire the people all over the world from generations to generations.
“Historic March 7 speech will continue to inspire all the neglected, deprived and freedom seeking people all over the world and thus, the historic speech was included in the UNESCO Memory of the World International Registrar”, said Akhtaruzzaman.
He was addressing a discussion at the auditorium of university’s Teacher-Student Center (TSC) marking the historic 7th March speech day.
Terming the epoch-making March 7 speech of Bangabandhu as the clear declaration of independence, he said the speech contained clear direction for the Bangalee nation to launch ultimate struggle for achieving the national freedom.
“The historic 7 March speech had played a vital role to unite the Bangalee people and establish an independent state,” he added.
The VC called for projecting significance of the great seventh March speech of Bangabandhu before the new generation.
Pro-VC (Administration) Dr. Mohammad Samad, Treasurer Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, President of DU Teacher’s Association (DUTA) Prof. ASM Maksud Kamal, Vice President of Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur and DUCSU AGS Saddam Hussein, among others, were present in the function.
