There is no good news in the export income of the country’s readymade garment sector. In the first two months of the new year, there has been a negative trend in the export income. This trend may continue in March. If the situation in Corona does not pass, there is no good news in the export income of garments. However, garment owners are expecting the export earnings of the garment sector to continue to increase from next June-July.
Abdus Salam Murshedy, president of the Exporters Association of Bangladesh (EAB) and former president of BGMEA, said, “The global market is now facing challenges due to the corona. The world economy is still in recession. There is no buyer as there is no demand for clothes. Competition is also increasing. For all these reasons, the export income is not increasing.
He added, “We need to increase the quality of our products to increase export earnings.” The competition will increase. We need to increase our design, style and capabilities. ‘
