Economist Ibrahim Khaled is no more

Economist and former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled has died. He died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday (February 24) while on life support at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital. He was 80 years old at the time of his death.

Earlier on Tuesday (February 23), the BSMMU vice-chancellor said he had been in the hospital’s ICU since last Friday (February 19). He was placed on life support from Sunday afternoon. Ibrahim Khaled was hospitalized with corona.
