ADB provides 940 million dollars to buy vaccines

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has lauded the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for tackling the epidemic and successful implementation of the nationwide vaccination program. The agency also pledged 940 million dollars in aid to Bangladesh to buy the vaccine.
After a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at Ganobhaban on Tuesday (February 23), ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash assured the assistance. The matter has been confirmed by Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Imrul Kayes.
At the time, Imrul Kayes said, “To accelerate economic recovery from the Corona epidemic, ADB is discussing a 940 million assistance offer under the APVX facility for Bangladesh’s vaccine program.”
