Import and export of products stopped at Hili land port

On the occasion of Republic Day of India, import and export of all kinds of products through Hili land port of Dinajpur district has been stopped.
Import and export activities between Bangladesh and India have been suspended since Tuesday morning.
In this regard, Abdur Rahman Liton, General Secretary of Banglahili Customs C&F Agents Association, said that Republic Day is being observed in India today. As a result, Indian traders decided to suspend operations through the Healy land port on Tuesday. Due to which import-export activities through this port have been stopped since morning. However, loading and unloading of goods is normal inside the Panama port in the Bangladesh part of the port.
The official further said that the activities of the port will start from Wednesday as usual.
