Approval to buy 50,000 tons fertilizer from abroad

The Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement has approved the purchase of 50,000 metric tonnes of bulk granular (optional) urea fertilizer from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates at a cost of Taka 243.57 crore.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday (January 6th). Later, Additional Secretary to the Cabinet Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal said this at a virtual press conference.
