The decision was taken at a virtual inter-ministerial meeting arranged by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday.

He said, “It has been decided that devotees will carry ‘jaynamaz’ with them to perform Eid prayers at mosque and will not hug each other and do handshake.”

The other directions given during Eid-ul-Fitr will remain effective in this Eid, too, Anwar added.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in Bangladesh on July 31 subject to appearance of Moon in the sky.
