BAF aircraft brought medical aids from China

The aircraft brought coronavirus detection kits, 1.22 million surgical masks, 7,500 N-95 masks and 10,459 PPE
A Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) aircraft carrying sixteen aircrew returned from China on Sunday with essential healthcare aid.
The BAF C-130J aircraft, led by Air Commodore Md Zahidur Rahman, GD (P) of Bangladesh Air Force, departed from Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport for China on Friday morning.
It brought coronavirus detection kits, 1.22 million surgical masks, 7,500 N-95 masks, 130 electric thermometers, 2,000 protective gloves, 10,200 medical safety glasses, 200 goggles, 10,459 personal protective equipment (PPE) and other medical equipment from China under the “In Aid to Civil Power” programme.
The Bangladesh Armed Forces are operating the programme under the supervision of the government.
The aircraft also brought equipment – including PPE, masks, sanitisers, etc. – that the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce promised to provide to organisations working in the country to curb the spread of coronavirus.
